Before you shop: Select rivet post length for your fabric thickness, and match both zipper pulls to your #3 or #5 tape.
01 Fabrics
Exterior
Approximately 1 yd. (100 cm).
Lining
Approximately 1 1/2 yd. (150 cm).
02 Interfacing & Stabilizer
- Woven interfacing: Approximately 1–2 yd., such as Pellon SF101 Shape-Flex or Sew Fuse.
- Stabilizer: Approximately 1 yd. (about 91 cm) of Decovil Light or Pellon Flex Foam FF78F1.
03 Hardware
- 8 Rivets or Chicago Screws. Choose 6–7 mm posts for thinner fabrics or 8–9 mm posts for thicker fabrics.
- 1 Magnetic Snap
04 Zipper & Pulls
22 1/2" (57 cm) of #3 or #5 zipper tape + 2 matching pulls.
05 Sewing Tools & Supplies
- Rotary Cutter or Scissors
- Double-Sided Tape
- Grid Ruler / Cutting Mat
- Duct Tape to protect the magnetic snap prongs
- Erasable Fabric Pen
- Fray Check for magnetic snap cuts (optional)
- Rivet Setter or Rivet Press
