Shop the Simply Scarf Tote Hardware Kit

Shop fabric, stabilizer, interfacing and sewing tools separately.

Before you choose fabric: You can mix fabrics for the tote, but the Hidden Connector pieces must be made from non-fraying fabric.

01   Fabrics

Exterior

Two 18" × 53" rolls of faux leather, cork, vinyl or another suitable fabric. You can mix fabrics.

Lining

One standard roll measuring 18" × 53" of LinerTex™, water-resistant canvas, waterproof canvas or cotton fabric.

Fabric needs may vary with directional prints, fabric width, multiple exterior fabrics, alterations and cutting layout.

02   Interfacing & Stabilizer

  • Decovil Light: Cut two 13" × 17" pieces. Allow 7/8 yd. if using 17" wide Decovil Light, or 3/8 yd. if using 35" wide.
  • Woven interfacing: 1–2 yd. of woven interfacing, depending on your fabric choices.
  • Additional fabric and/or woven interfacing may be needed if you add zipper pockets, slip pockets or a recessed zipper panel.

04   Optional Zippers & Pulls

The pattern does not include pieces for zipper pockets or a recessed zipper. If you choose to add your own, purchase zipper tape and pulls to suit your added features.
