Before you shop: Hardware is sized for a 3/4" strap. The kit contains one strap end; the original list recommends two as an optional finish.

01   Fabrics

• Exterior: Approx. 1/3 yd. (35 cm), plus a 55" × 3" (140 × 8 cm) piece for the crossbody strap.
• Lining: Approx. 1 yd. (100 cm).

02   Interfacing & Stabilizer

• Approx. 1 yd. (100 cm) lightweight woven fusible interfacing: Pellon SF101 or Sew Fuse. Generally not required for vinyl, cork or waterproof canvas; useful for subtle one-way stretch.
• Approx. 1/4 yd. (23 cm) Decovil Light or two layers of Sew Fuse Plus.

03   Hardware

• 1 Magnetic Snap (may substitute a turn lock or Half-Moon Magnetic Snap).
• 2 × 3/4" (19 mm) D-Rings; 2 matching Swivel Snap Hooks; 1 matching Strap Slider.
• 2 × 3/4" (19 mm) Strap Ends and 1 Bag Tag (optional, recommended).
• 4–6 rivets or Chicago screws. Choose 6–7 mm posts for thinner fabrics or 8–9 mm posts for thicker fabrics.

04   Zippers & Binding

• Zipper panel: 10 1/2" (27 cm) of #5 zipper tape + 1–2 matching zipper pulls.
• Back exterior pocket: 6" (15 cm) of #3 or #5 zipper tape + 1 matching zipper pull.
• Approx. 55" (140 cm) of 1/2" (13 mm) wide double-fold bias binding if not making your own.

05   Sewing Tools

• Rotary Cutter or Scissors
• Double-Sided Tape
• Grid Ruler & Cutting Mat
• Erasable Fabric Pen
• Duct Tape for magnetic snap prongs
• Fray Check for snap cuts (optional)
• Rivet Setter or Rivet Press
