01   Fabrics

Exterior

Approximately 3/4 yd. (70 cm) of 44/45" (112/114 cm) wide fabric, or one 18" × 53/54" roll of faux leather or suede or vinyl. If using two exterior fabrics, add one additional roll.

Lining

Approximately 3/4 yd. (70 cm) of 44/45" (112/114 cm) wide waterproof canvas, water-resistant canvas or fabric, or properly interfaced quilting cotton.

Fabric requirements are estimates and may vary with directional prints, fabric width, multiple exterior fabrics, pattern alterations and cutting layout.

02   Interfacing & Stabilizer

• Lightweight woven fusible interfacing: Approximately 3/4–1 1/2 yd. (100–150 cm). Sew Woven or Pellon ShapeFlex SF101 is recommended for quilting cotton or vinyl, faux leather and faux suede with one-way stretch. Amount needed varies by fabric choice and cutting layout.
• Decovil Light: Approximately 3/4 yd. (50 cm), based on 17" wide stabilizer, for the non-quilted stabilizer pieces. Shop stabilizers.
• Sew-in foam stabilizer: One 12" × 8" (30 × 20 cm) piece, such as Pellon FF77 Flex Foam, for the quilted front panel only.

03   Hardware

• 2 × 1" (25 mm) Rectangle Rings
• 6–12 Rivets or Chicago screws. Choose 6–7 mm posts for thinner fabrics or 8–9 mm posts for thicker fabrics.
• 1 × 1" (25 mm) Tri-Glide/Strap Slider (only for an adjustable strap)
• 1–2 × 1" (25 mm) Strap Ends (optional)
• 1 Zipper End (optional)
• 1 Bag Tag (optional)

04   Zippers & Pulls

Shop zipper tape and pulls.

• Main closure: 13" (33 cm) of #5 zipper tape + 1 pull
• Back exterior and lining pockets: Two 8 1/4" (21 cm) lengths of #5 or #3 zipper tape + 2 pulls total

Shopping tip: One yard of #5 zipper tape is enough for all three listed cuts if you use #5 for the pockets too. You will need three pulls in total.
