Everything you need for your Glam & Go, organized into a simple shopping list. Quantities are for one project.

Shop Zipper Tape & Pulls

Shop fabric, zippers and sewing tools separately.

Before you shop: Choose the standard or crossbody hardware before shopping. The crossbody version replaces the rectangle rings with D-rings.

01   Fabrics

  • Exterior: Approx. 3/4 yd. (100 cm), plus two 9" × 4 1/2" pieces of clear vinyl (16 gauge recommended).
  • Lining: Approx. 3/4 yd. (100 cm).

02   Interfacing & Stabilizers

  • Approx. 3/4–1 1/2 yd. (70–140 cm) lightweight woven fusible interfacing: Sew Woven or Pellon ShapeFlex SF101. Generally not required for vinyl, cork or waterproof canvas; it can help stabilize faux leather, faux suede or vinyl with subtle one-way stretch.
  • Approx. 2/3 yd. (65 cm) lightweight stabilizer such as Decovil Light.
  • Two 3" × 5" (7.6 × 12.7 cm) pieces of heavyweight stabilizer such as Decovil Heavy.

03   Hardware & Zipper

  • Main closure: 17 1/2" (44.4 cm) of #5 zipper tape + 1–2 matching zipper pulls.
  • 2 × 1" (25 mm) Rectangle Rings.
  • 4 rivets or Chicago screws. Choose 6–7 mm posts for thinner fabrics or 8–9 mm posts for thicker fabrics.
  • Two 3/8" (9.5 mm) × 9 3/4" (24.7 cm) pieces of elastic and cotton fabric to cover, if desired (optional; wider elastic may be used).
  • Approx. 60" (155 cm) of 1/2" (13 mm) double-fold bias binding, 1" (2.5 cm) fold-over elastic, or waterproof canvas binding.
  • 1 Bag Tag (optional).

04   Crossbody Additions

  • 6 additional rivets or Chicago screws. Choose 6–7 mm posts for thinner fabrics or 8–9 mm posts for thicker fabrics.
  • 2 × 1" (25 mm) Snap Hooks.
  • 2 × 1" (25 mm) D-Rings instead of the rectangle rings.
  • 1 × 1" (25 mm) Strap Slider.

05   Tools & Finishing

Follow the pattern instructions for cutting and assembly.
