Everything you need for your CiCi Defender, organized into a simple shopping list. Quantities are for one project.

Shop fabric, zippers and sewing tools separately.

Before you shop: The hardware kit contains a turn lock; choose magnetic snaps separately if changing the closure.

01   Fabrics

• Exterior: Approx. 1 1/4 yd. (125 cm), plus a 55" × 3" piece for the crossbody strap.
• Lining: Approx. 1 yd. (100 cm).

02   Interfacing & Stabilizers

• 1 1/4–2 1/4 yd. (125–225 cm) lightweight woven fusible interfacing: Sew Woven or Pellon ShapeFlex SF101. Generally not required for vinyl, cork or waterproof canvas; it can help stabilize faux leather, faux suede or vinyl with subtle one-way stretch.
• Approx. 3/4 yd. (75 cm) Decovil Light.
• One 12 1/2" × 8 1/2" piece of Decovil Heavy.

03   Hardware

• 2 × 1" Swivel Snap Hooks; 2 × 1" D-Rings; 1 × 1" Strap Slider.
• 1 Turn Lock or 2 Magnetic Snaps.
• 2 × 1" strap ends, 4–5 purse feet and 1 Bag Tag (optional, recommended).
• 8–10 rivets or Chicago screws. Choose 6–7 mm posts for thinner fabrics or 8–9 mm posts for thicker fabrics.
• Two 4" × 4" Velcro pieces to secure the holster to the CC compartment.

04   Zippers & Binding

• Main closure: 20" (50.8 cm) of #5 zipper tape + 1–2 matching zipper pulls.
• CC pocket: 2 cuts of 8 5/8" (21.9 cm) of #5 zipper tape + 2 matching zipper pulls.
• Lining zipper pocket: 8 1/2" (21.6 cm) of #3 or #5 zipper tape + 1 matching zipper pull.
• Approx. 76" (200 cm) of 1/2" (12.7 mm) double-fold bias binding or 1" (25 mm) Fold-Over Elastic if not making waterproof canvas binding.

05   Sewing Tools

• Rotary Cutter or Scissors
• Double-Sided Tape
• Grid Ruler & Cutting Mat
• Erasable Fabric Pen
• Duct Tape for magnetic snap prongs
• Fray Check for snap cuts (optional)
• Rivet Setter or rivet press
