Before you shop: The current kit supplies D-rings in place of the discontinued O-rings. The broken zipper-pull link in the original list has been corrected.

01   Fabrics

  • Exterior: Approx. 1 yd. (100 cm), plus a 3"–4" × 55" (8–10 × 140 cm) piece for the crossbody strap.
  • Lining: Approx. 1 yd. (100 cm).

02   Interfacing & Stabilizer

  • 1–2 yd. (100–200 cm) lightweight woven fusible interfacing: Sew Woven or Pellon ShapeFlex SF101. Generally not required for vinyl, cork or waterproof canvas; it can help stabilize faux leather, faux suede or vinyl with subtle one-way stretch.
  • Approx. 1/2 yd. (50 cm) Pellon 987F Fusible Fleece if using cotton fabric only.
  • Approx. 12" × 4 1/4" (30 × 11 cm) Decovil Light.

03   Hardware

  • 2 × 1" Swivel Snap Hooks.
  • 2 × 1" D-Rings or 2 × 1 3/4" (45 mm) O-Rings; 2 more 1" D-rings for decoration (optional).
  • 1 × 1" Strap Slider; 3 × 1" Strap Ends.
  • 9–10 rivets or Chicago screws (optional). Use 6–7 mm posts for thinner fabric or 8–9 mm for thicker fabric.

04   Zippers

  • Main closure: 14" (36 cm) of #5 zipper tape + 1 matching zipper pull. 1 Zipper End (optional).
  • Front exterior pocket: 12" (30 cm) of #3 or #5 zipper tape + 1 matching zipper pull.
  • Back exterior and lining pockets: 2 cuts of 8" (20 cm) of #3 or #5 zipper tape + 2 matching zipper pulls.
