Installation Recommendations:
- Cut a hole through the fabric and stabilizer according to the inside diameter of the grommet.
- Insert one half of the grommet from the front and the other half from the back.
- Apply a small amount of Loctite® thread locker to the threads to help prevent the grommet from loosening with use.
- Screw the two halves together until securely snug. Do not overtighten.
- Always reinforce the grommet area with a medium- to heavyweight stabilizer to provide proper support and reduce stress on the fabric.
Installation Tip: The fabric and stabilizer layers should completely fill the 3.9mm channel between the two grommet halves. If your project layers are not thick enough to create a snug fit, add one to two layers of Decovil Heavy or one layer of foam stabilizer behind the grommet area before installation.
